Head Extreme 2026: The Full Range Explained

Head Extreme 2026: The Full Range Explained

The Head Extreme has always been the spin frame in the Head line-up. The 2026 range in green covers five models from a 305g Pro to an ultra-light. Here's who each one is for.

Head's line-up splits fairly cleanly: Speed for all-court players, Radical for feel, Boom for easy power, Gravity for control — and Extreme for spin. If you're the player who wants the ball to kick up off the court and drop inside the baseline, the Extreme is the one to look at.

The 2026 range has just landed in a striking green, with five frames covering everything from tour spec to first proper racket.

What the Extreme is built to do

The Extreme has a more open string pattern and a beam shaped to swing quickly. That combination lets you accelerate through the ball and brush up the back of it without losing depth. It sits closest to a Babolat Pure Aero or Yonex VCORE in character.

It suits modern western-grip baseliners — players who take a big cut at the ball and rely on spin for margin rather than hitting flat and close to the lines.

🏆 Extreme Pro · the tour frame

The heaviest and most demanding. Best for advanced players with fast, full swings who want maximum spin without the frame moving on contact. Stable against pace, unforgiving of lazy footwork.

⚡ Extreme MP · the one most people want

The middle of the range and the natural starting point. Best for intermediate to advanced club players. Enough weight for stability, light enough to swing hard for three sets, and the spin the family is known for.

🎯 Extreme MP L · lighter, quicker

The MP with weight taken out. Best for players with shorter swings, doubles specialists, and anyone who fades in the third set.

🪶 Extreme MP UL · ultra-light

The most manoeuvrable frame in the range. Best for juniors moving up to a full-size racket, players returning from injury, and anyone managing an arm problem.

🌱 Extreme Team · the value entry

Best for improvers stepping up from a beginner frame who want a real racket without tour-frame demands or tour-frame pricing.
