Balance determines whether your racket is head heavy, even or head light.
Flexibility ranges from 0 – 100%, the higher the percentage, the chance of generating power in your shot.
Total Weight is the unstrung weight of the racket as measured by Yonex Precision Scan. Heavier rackets generate more power.
Swing Weight is measured by the swinging of the racket at a specific speed. A lighter swing weight can lead to more control.
Performance Swing Weight considers the weight, balance and swing weight to give you an effective estimate of the power behind your racket.

The Percept 97D is the most control-focused racket in the Percept line — built for experienced players who want unwavering precision. A 97 square inch head and a dense 18x20 string pattern give it laser-sharp targeting from anywhere on the court, here in the original Olive Green.
Key Features
- 97 sq in head — a tighter face for a more direct, more precise response.
- Dense 18x20 string pattern — the most controlled pattern in the line, with a flat, predictable launch.
- 320g unstrung — substantial enough to absorb pace and redirect it.
- Increased shaft flex — 15% more flex than the previous generation, for feel and clean energy transfer.
- Servo Filter vibration damping — comfort without losing feedback.
Performance Overview
An 18x20 pattern on a 97 head is about as demanding a specification as a modern racket offers, and it is demanding because it gives you nothing for free. Every bit of spin and pace has to come from you. What you get in return is a ball that goes exactly where you sent it.
Benefits
Control frames reward clean ball striking. If you find the middle consistently, the 97D lets you play closer to the lines and take pace off the ball at will. The added shaft flex softens what would otherwise be a very firm frame, keeping it playable over a long match.
