The Wilson Pro Staff Classic 97 UL (WR20151U) is the most accessible way into the Pro Staff family of tennis rackets. It offers classic Pro Staff precision and feel in an ultra-light 270g, easy-to-swing frame, making it ideal for developing players, advanced juniors and anyone who values control but prefers minimal weight. It is finished in timeless Pro Staff black with heritage striping.
Key Features
- 270g unstrung – the quickest, most manoeuvrable Pro Staff Classic, for speed, reaction time and comfort without sacrificing control, and less fatigue.
- 97 in² head – control-oriented and precise without being overly punishing; promotes accuracy, timing, placement and confidence.
- 16×19 string pattern – accessible topspin and net clearance with the controlled launch and predictable response Pro Staff frames are known for.
- Head-light balance (–6 pts) – fast through the air while staying stable on contact.
- Honest, connected feedback – rewards clean contact with clear feel at impact, ideal for players improving technique rather than relying on free power.
Performance Overview
With its 97 in² head, 16×19 pattern and 270g weight, the 97 UL gives outstanding manoeuvrability, fast racket-head speed and a connected response that encourages clean technique and confident ball striking. It keeps the unmistakable Pro Staff feedback in a format that is far less physically demanding – a racket that encourages good habits and fast improvement.
